The Sea of Galilee (AKA “The Kinneret”), is a freshwater lake located in the north-east part of Israel. As a matter of fact, it is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth and the second lowest lake in the world (after the Dead Sea, A saltwater lake). Also, the Sea of Galilee is considered by many as a place of magic and mysteries – especially the Christians who believe wholeheartedly that Jesus Christ has miraculously walked (literally) on its waters. And whether your attraction to the Sea of Galilee is religious or otherwise you can always enjoy, among other things, our most fun & unique private fishing tours.
Do you feel like doing something new and refreshing? Something you might never have tried before? And no, we are not talking about daring bungee jumping in Thailand or on extreme skiing in the Alps. In fact, we’re talking about an attraction that is the complete opposite: trainings and fishing trips along the Beautiful shores of the Sea of Galilee.
According to texts that appear in the writings of the New Testament, the Sea of Galilee (or “The Kinneret”) is considered a place of miracles and wonders mainly because of the stories about Jesus Christ and his extraordinary and unique deeds. Two of the most famous, are the walking on the water of the Sea of Galilee and the miracle of the bread and fish.
As for the latter, “The Church of Multiplication of Loaves and fishes” that is located at Ein-Sheva in the north-west of the Sea of Galilee, can be seen as tangible evidence of the incredible miracle that Jesus has managed to do: feeding approximately 5,000 people with 5 pieces of bread and 2 fishes.
This connects us to yet another holy Church in the area, “the St. Peter’s” Church in Tabgha. According to Christian belief and tradition, this church symbolizes the encounter between St. Peter and Jesus on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, just as Christianity became a religion and Jesus decided to appoint Peter to lead its apostles.
As a way to link between the distant past and today, it is worth nothing that St. Peter was a talented fisherman who used to catch “tilapia fishes” in the Sea of Galilee. Moreover, for a considerable part of the Christian world, fishing activity in the Sea of Galilee is particularly important and sacred (even if it comes to just stand there with a fishing rod without really fishing).
Therefore, In order to succeed in preserving traditions and beliefs on the one hand, and allowing you to enjoy a unique and exciting activity on the other, we invite you to a mythical journey of fishing tours on the beautiful shores of the Sea of Galilee.
